This course is aimed at anyone looking to gain an understanding of Linux and computing at entry level.

Delegates attending this course must have:

Basic computer skills, such as how to use a keyboard and how to work with a removable media such as Flash Drives.

To receive the Linux Essentials Certificate the candidate must:

- Have an understanding of the Linux and open source industry and knowledge of the most popular open source applications;

- Understand the major components of the Linux operating system, and have the technical proficiency to work on the 

- Linux command line

- Working basic wired and wireless network configurations.

- Have a basic understanding of security and administration related topics such as user/group management, working on the command line, and permissions.

This course will prepare delegates to write the LPI Linux Essentials Exam 010-160. Successfully passing this exam will result in the attainment of the LPIC Linux Essentials Entry Level Certificate. Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a course attendance certificate. Candidates wishing to write the LPI exam, must register online to receive the LPI identification number before enrolling for the exam. This identification number must be presented at our exam centres together with the booking form. Registration is free of charge and is completed on the LPI website.
